Steve and Ashlee

Grief is difficult and it touches us all. No one more at this time then my cousin and his wife. Words cannot express what you are feeling and how much I wish that I could take all of this away from you. Please know that we are all praying for the two of you. All I can offer you is a shoulder to cry on, arms to hold you, ears to listen, and a heart to pray for you. You are both loved fiercely by those around you and now more then ever, there is a circle of love and prayer surrounding you. It may be difficult to feel at this moment, but believe me it is there. When you are ready, we are here to listen, or if no words can be formed, we are just here to love. Steve and Ashlee, we are seperated by distance but we are united by our faith. I hope that brings you some small comfort. Your family, both by blood and by choice, are here for you let us be strong for you.

Victoria 2009

Here are some photos from our trip to Victoria. We went to celebrate my cousin Chases' wedding to his beautiful bride Sheila. I swear we have pictures of his wedding, it is just on other cameras.

Beautiful Scars

You quietly keep yourself out of the light
As if nobody knows that you’re there
You watch the world move around you and try not to care

Your secrets are kept where you think no one sees
But your fortress is made out of glass
You think what you’ve been through is not much to give
But you’re worth so much more than your past

It just takes a moment, to find yourself falling
You’re not alone cuz we all understand
Every mistake that we make is a chance to become who we are
So don’t hide your beautiful scars

We all have things that we try to forget
Memories left in the dark
We sew up our wounds and move on but they still leave a mark
It’s tempting to cover our hearts with the shame

And never let anyone in
Oh, but love’s at the end of each path that we’ve taken
And Gives a new place to begin
All of us bruised and broken
All of us with a story to tell

Know that you’re loved more than you can imagine
Jesus has had in you mind from the start
Every mistake that you make is a chance to become who we are
So don’t hide

Ian had his music formal earlier this month and I finally got around to posting to the pictures. We clean up pretty good if I do say so myself.

Lucky

Jason Mraz and Colbie Callait
Do you hear me,I'm talking to you
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm trying
Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I'll wait for you I promise you, I will
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair
Though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
I'm lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

Strike Vote

Well, for those of you who don't know the Superstore employees from Edmonton and surrounding areas have voted 94% for a strike.

I know that many of you, shop there on a regular basis. I am writing to ask of you that if we do in fact go on strike, that you would not cross the picket lines. The company is not bargining in good faith and offering us very little and wanting to take away a lot.

I have not been very interested or passionate about many union activities in the past but the companies "Final" offer is a joke. While I do not intend to be a Superstore much longer, there are people who support their families on the incomes they recieve from Superstore and in this economy it is not acceptable to ROLL BACK a person's wages when the cost of living is increasing.

Thanks in advance for your support of myself and the other hard working employees at The Real Canadian Superstore

Applying for a Job?

I just did.
I am super nervous. I hope I at least get an interview
If you could cross all of your body parts and say a few prayers for me, I would really appreciate it.

The man upstairs is really looking out for me. I will tell you all the story when I see you in person.
For now I am going to bed, have to be up early
